Touchstone to lay off 200 at Fort Worth location

Pennsylvania-based Touchstone Wireless repair and Logistics will lay off 200 employees at the company’s Fort Worth location on Cambridge Road beginning in February 2010.

In a letter to the Texas Workforce Commission, Touchstone’s CEO John K. Cowles said the company hopes the workforce reduction will not be permanent, but added that Touchstone has no plans to recall laid off employees.

“Touchstone is committed to building our business over the next several years,” Cowles wrote.

The company operates repair and remanufacture, reverse logistics, custom IT solutions and asset management programs for wireless communication carriers and manufacturers.
