Local export firm takes biscuits to world

GlobalTradeBase.com, a North Richland Hills-based export management firm, has launched the international export of Almondina Brand Biscuits with the line now available in Europe.

Global Trade Base President EJ Spidell said his company is constantly looking for gourmet and specialty products to provide in Europe, Asian, South America and Middle East markets.

“Exporting is the most viable market for U.S. products given the state of our domestic economy,” Spidell said in a press release. “… The high quality of U.S. produced goods are in demand around the world.  The Almondina Biscuits are a quality delicious snack that we anticipate will become a globally recognized item.”

Almondina flavors being exported to European retail outlets include the original, choconut, gingerspice and sesame.

Almondina biscuits are manufactured by YZ Enterprises Inc. Almondina.com. The biscuits are made with no added fat or sale and no cholesterol and feature thin, sliced almonds on top.
